Bulgarian Traitors Being Paraded
Original caption: This new and heretofore unpublished photograph was made during a recent parade in the Bulgarian capital. A dramatic moment in the parade was this "March of the Country's Traitors." the Bulgarian correspondent however did not specify whether these were actual or synthetic traitors acting their roles for dramatic effect. Bulgaria is prominent in the news with its demand for Thrace, a strip of Greece. This demand before the big four conference is backed by Russia. The demand came as a surprise inasmuch as Bulgaria was an axis satellite during the war while Greece fought tooth and nail against Italy first and then Germany. The marchers showed pro-Russian sympathies, some of them giving the closed fist salute and others carrying pictures of Stalin together with pictures of their own leaders.
